Let’s get into it.

Aceable vs Dmvedu: A Side by Side Comparison

Aceable is a new school on the block, having been established in 2014. But this doesn’t mean it’s inexperienced, far from it.

Aceable has consistently ranked on the top of customer satisfaction lists ever since its inception. It has produced a much-loved course by safety specialists and teens alike, being both informative and fun.

Dmvedu, on the other hand, is a senior here, with over 10 years in the industry. They have a wealth of experience that they put to use to give you the best experience possible.

And with both schools being ranked A+ by the BBB, you can rest assured that both have been vetted by the professionals and are proven to be effective.

Down below I’ll dive into 8 factors to give you an in-depth look at both schools. These factors are:

  • State approval
  • Pricing
  • User experience
  • Features
  • Add ons
  • Convenience
  • Customer support
  • Reviews

Check out the table below for a brief overview.

Aceable vs Dmvedu Which Online Driver’s Ed is Better chart

State Approval

As you can see, both schools offer limited state availability.

Aceable offers their driver’s ed to big states such as Texas, Illinois, Ohio, and Oklahoma.

Dmvedu does have Arizona and New Jersey covered, though.

While Dmvedu does provide its driver’s ed course for multiple states that aren’t included in the list above, these courses aren’t technically state-approved. You can still take them, but you should check with your DMV first to see if they’re willing to accept it.

Pricing

While prices do vary depending on the state and even per day depending on the discounts offered, Dmvedu does tend to have a cheaper course in most states Their courses cost around $10-$20 on average.

Aceable is known for being a bit on the pricier side. However, considering the number of features you’re getting (detailed below), it is definitely worth the investment.

User Experience

Both Aceable and Dmvedu have great user experiences when it comes to site design. They boast easy-to-use courses that make the learning process user-friendly.

Both schools also make navigating the course materials easier by dividing large chapters into easy-to-digest smaller lessons.

These lessons and chapters are listed on your dashboard, allowing you to see which lessons remain before you can take the final test.

However, Aceable does provide a bit more through its robot mascot, called Ace, which guides users through the course and even takes part in the lessons.

Aceable’s site is also more modern with a sleek design that is filled with new features that Dmvedu lacks.

While this doesn’t mean that Dmvedu is outdated, its site does need some work to make it a bit more relevant to the present day, where GIFs, animations, and interactivity are all the rage.

As for the mobile experience, read about it in the “convenience” section below.

Features

Dmvedu has a fair bit of features when it comes to online driver’s ed.

Their video-based course is filled with activities.

Unlike Dmvedu, Aceable has plenty of animations, pictures, and even funny memes integrated into their course content. And, they also have videos that make learning interactive, engaging, and fun all at the same time.

This improves the learning experience by boosting focus and improving clarity regarding key and complex topics that only visual aids can effectively explain.

Aceable even goes a step further, offering unique 3D driving simulations that prepare teens for behind-the-wheel driving!

You can check out their parallel parking simulation here:

So, Dmvedu offers everything you need from a driver’s ed, but Aceable goes far and beyond by packing their course with awesome features.

Add ons

Both courses don’t have any extra add ons.

This means all the features mentioned are a part of their packages at no additional cost.

That said, Dmvedu does have additional test prep courses that have a range of extra questions if you want a bit more confidence going into the written exam. These are in addition to the practice questions you get in their driver’s ed course, so it's completely optional.

Convenience

Both schools make on-the-go learning easier with mobile applications available on all devices. You no longer need to carry your laptop around with you to get done with this course.

When it comes to app quality, there are big differences.

Dmvedu’s mobile app is more of a rehash of the desktop version. It’s the same, only you’ll be able to access it conveniently on your phone or tablet.

Aceable, on the other hand, has gone and created a whole new version for their app course. This app has one of the best mobile experiences in the industry, scoring 4.9 and 4.7 stars on IOS and Android respectively.

Plus, there are even more features included in Aceable’s app. They even made sure the app was state-approved (for the states they offer driver’s ed).

Despite the differences, both Dmvedu’s and Aceable’s mobile app will help you study your driver’s ed on the go.
