iDriveSafely compensated for this through a partnership with DriversEd. That adds nine state-approved courses to their roster.

If one of these schools is available where you’re from, it’s a good idea to learn more about them before taking their courses (read below to find out more).

Reviews

Both schools got good reviews, albeit on different sites.

MyImprov scores 4.7 out of 5 on overall satisfaction from Shopper Approved.

With almost two hundred thousand reviews for MyImprov, almost 94% of these gave 4-star and 5-star ratings. Most of these revolve around the lively content — users said it was informative and educational. Negative reviews, on the other hand, are about difficulty accessing the course chapters and glitches on their website.

Here are just some reviews from Shopper Approved:

“Just enough humor to break up the mood.” – Theodore P.

“It’s ok. Not impressed with site. Sometimes it was hard to navigate and sometimes did not record the answer that was clicked on. Sent a message to 24/7 and never received an answer 24/never. But Jeff was ok. Anyway i am just glad it is over. Way too long.”

iDriveSafely receives an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5 from Trustpilot.

Although it has fewer reviews compared to MyImprov, almost 18,000 is still a lot. Around 17,000 users gave a rating of 4 stars or higher.

Their satisfaction roots from the easy process of iDriveSafely. People also say iDriveSafely delivers materials in a way that makes them easy to understand. Those who were unhappy with their experience said the level of service they got was subpar.

Read what people have to say:

“The course presents in a practical way and with simple language the rules, laws and other information, I believe that including videos would be another way to increase the absorption of such information, because the image helps in the absorption of content.” – Nayara S.

“I sent an email and you guys don’t respond . I accidentally put in one digit wrong from the license and no one ever got back. I called and the rep said I’d get something in the mail and I never did. I don’t even know if me taking the test even counted!” – Joel T.

Features

On top of the actual driver’s education course offered by both schools, there are a couple of features that can make your life a little easier.

MyImprov gives instant proof of completion.

There are instances wherein students are happy with the actual coursework but run into problems with their certificates.

The most frustrating thing is expecting your certificate to arrive through mail within 5 to 7 business days then receiving… nothing. If you want to get it faster, you’ll have to pay a fee.

With MyImprov, the wait time is only 30 minutes!

Once you complete your driver’s education course, your certificate becomes available online. All you need to do is download it for free.

You get a discount from iDriveSafely by availing of roadside assistance.

Not only will you get a lower rate for your driver’s ed course when you avail of Allstate’s roadside assistance upon purchase, but you’re also sure that someone comes to your aid if you run into trouble while driving.

Allstate’s roadside services include help with flat tires, dead batteries, getting locked out, and towing, among others. You’ll get a free month when you buy it – if you want to continue availing of their services, you’ll have to pay $5 per month. If you don’t, you always have the option to cancel at any time.

MyImprov vs. iDriveSafely - Which Online Driver’s Ed is Better Aceable

Another excellent option is Aceable. It has one of the most interactive driver’s education courses in the country, though it is only available in a few states currently.

You can access their course through your computer, tablet, or mobile phone, making it very convenient. You don’t even need to worry about the progress you’ve made since their platform automatically saves it. Even if you switch devices, you can always pick up where you left off.

Their difference lies in two main areas – how much their courses cost and what additional features they have to offer. It comes down to what you prefer.

Would you rather get your proof of completion within an hour of finishing the course? Or would you rather have roadside assistance within arm’s reach once you’re able to hit the road?

The choice is up to you.
