This online traffic school was co-founded by no other than the Improv Comedy Club. In fact, their courses were co-written by comedy writers. So, you can expect a good laugh now and then when going through the lessons.

They believe that the best way to teach drivers the importance of safe driving is by using humor to instill values. This is evident in their “edutainment style” of teaching, wherein they use hilarious comedy skits and jokes in between lessons to make it more interesting.

Traffic Schools in Miami, Florida FAQs

How many hours of traffic school course do I need to complete to dismiss a ticket in Florida?

If you receive a court order to complete a Basic Driver Improvement Course for one minor moving violation, you’ll need to complete a court-approved 4-Hour BDI course.

Note that if you got two tickets within 12 months, you’ll need to complete the 8-hour Intermediate Defensive Driving Course.

And, if you’re looking to have your suspended license reinstated, then you'll need to complete a 12-hour Advanced Defensive Driving course.

Be sure to check with your issuing court which one you are required to take.

How many times can I take the Basic Driver Improvement Course in a year?

You are only allowed to take the course once every 12 months to get credits.

If you want to take it again, at least one year must pass since the last time you completed the course. This is so you’ll be eligible to take another one for ticket dismissal or point reduction.

If you have no idea how long it has been, you can check through the Florida DHSMV traffic school eligibility tool here.

Is it better to take the BDI traffic school course online or in-person?

If you're in a hurry, or if you are trying to meet a deadline, taking the course online is preferable.

You don’t have to try to fit it into your schedule if you’re taking it online. You can simply study whenever and wherever.

Also, you can start the course immediately and most online traffic schools will take care of sending your e-certificate of completion to the Florida DHSMV within the same day. What we’re saying is doing it online is a lot more convenient.

Conclusion

Being able to dismiss a ticket or take points off your driving record has never been more convenient than it is today.

Thanks to our new technology, completing an online traffic school course makes the process a lot easier.

Yes, options for in-person classes still exist. But if your time’s running out or if your deadline is up in the next few days, the online traffic schools we’ve listed here will surely help you complete the requirements in an instant.
